It took 20 different tries to reach that point but last night it finally happened. At least three winning tickets were sold that matched all five of the numbers and the Powerball in last night's record setting lottery drawing.

Lottery officials in California, Tennessee and Florida have confirmed there were tickets sold in their state that had the winning combination.

Officials with the Texas Lottery estimated that a single ticket lump sum payout would be worth $983.5 million dollars. That would lead us to believe that each winning ticket, assuming a lump sum pay out option was chosen, would be worth approximately $327.8 million dollars.

The winning numbers in Wednesday Night's drawing were:

4-8-19-27-34  with the Powerball of 10

Those were not the only winners in last night's multi-state Powerball drawing. According to the Powerball website tickets worth two million dollars each were sold in Arizona, Florida, Iowa, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and New Jersey. Those who  purchased those tickets matched all five numbers and had the Powerplay.

There were tickets sold that are now worth one million dollars in 23 different states including Louisiana. Those tickets matched all five numbers but did not match the Powerball.

Lottery officials remind you to double check your tickets and be cognizant that there are several different ways to win cash playing Powerball even if you did not match all of the numbers and Powerball for the jackpot prize. Reports out of Lafayette say that one ticket purchased in the Hub City was worth $50-Thousand dollars while another ticket purchased in Jennings was worth $100-thousand dollars.
