Looking for something to do for the long 4th of July holiday weekend? We've got you covered!

Grab your water wings and a cooler and head to any one of our local lakes for some rest and relaxation, but don't try and put your boat in the Red River this weekend, as it remains closed due to high waters.

The annual Independence Day Festival presented by KTBS on the riverfront at Festival Plaza is this Saturday with a great line up of performers and an outstanding fireworks display. There will be tons of vendors and the event is free and open to the public.

Great Raft Brewing is hosting their 2nd annual 4th of July celebration with 'Independents' Day and their Brew-B-Q and live music starting at 11am Saturday.

Muddy Bottoms ATV Park in Springhill is hosting Muddin' for the Military starting this Thursday and running through Sunday with fireworks Saturday night, lots of mud and performance by Frank Foster and Black Water Bride.

Sam's Town Casino is bringing the 'boom' for the 4th of July with a t-shirt giveaway and fireworks. Saturday is their rooftop party with fireworks and Purple Reign starting at 7pm in the Magnolia Ballroom. Chicken on the Bone plays both Friday and Saturday nights at Sam's Town Live starting at 10pm.

Don't miss the 31st annual Firecracker 5K kicking off at 7:30am Saturday morning at Mall St. Vincent.

Sarepta, LA is hosting a fireworks display Saturday starting at 6pm at the end of Vine Street with free hot dogs and drinks and activities for kids. The Freddy Robinson Band will perform.

In Natchitoches, celebrate Independence Day during Celebrations on the Cane with a full day of family fun starting at 8am.

For a kid friendly time in Monroe, LA, head to Forsythe Park for the largest fireworks display in Northeast Louisiana!

Don't forget, you can still eat healthy, despite it being a holiday. Check out the Shreveport Farmer's Market in Festival Plaza in downtown Shreveport Saturday from 7am till noon.
