They’re moms, they’re bad, and they’re back. Or they will be next Christmas, as STX has announced via press release they’re fast-tracking a holiday-themed sequel that will reunite Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, and Kathryn Hahn for A Bad Moms Christmas.

This year’s raunchy female-led comedy Bad Moms, made on a modest budget of $20 million, grossed $170.8 million worldwide upon its release, which is apparently just too good for STX to pass up on. The company already announced back in October that, because this one was so successful, they’re planning practically an entire cinematic universe with “a series of film spin-offs, a reality television show, short form digital content, and a robust consumer products program.” Can’t wait to enter a white wine-fueled online shopping haze to splurge on all that Bad Moms merch.

A spinoff, titled Bad Dads, and centered on, you guessed it, dads who are bad, is also planned because dads need their chance to be bad too. But most of the appeal of Bad Moms comes from the very fact that the moms are the subject of the film: raunchy, funny women are on the rise, with Hollywood comedies like Sisters and Bridesmaids and Trainwreck raking in the cash from women overjoyed at the prospect of watching films that allow women to be funny. Bad Moms focused on a group of women so exhausted with their well-behaved, high-strung lives that they decide to finally let loose. Looks like Hollywood is taking their cue.

A Bad Moms Christmas hits theaters November 3, 2017.
