A friend of mine saw an interesting sight while driving down the interstate in the Dallas area last weekend and posted the above picture on his Facebook feed along with an interesting question too.

HOV lanes (high occupancy vehicles) are quite common in larger metro areas like Dallas and Fort Worth and to travel in these special lanes there should be at least two people in the vehicle or you could face a fine. These lanes are created to encourage car pooling to work and to conserve fuel. Traveling in these lanes with only one occupant in the vehicle could lead to a ticket and fine. My friend posed an interesting question with his post too,
