December 16th, 2015 is a major day in the world of soccer. That was the day The greatest female soccer player in United States History played her final game for the national team. Abby Wambach is the reason millions of people play soccer. She plays with a passion and fire that few people posses.

After 14 years, 255 matches, 184 goals, two Olympic gold medals, a Women’s World Cup title and countless memorable moments, Abby Wambach retires today as one of the greatest athletes of all-time. We look back on her historic career and what she meant to the game. In my opinion Abby has done more for women's soccer than any player ever and she is going to leave women's soccer better than she found it. Check out this tribute of the GOAT!
