If you were listening to Robert and Erin , or myself during the work day, you probably heard us mention the azaleas at Norton Art Gallery.

It's definitely Spring time in the Ark-La-Tex!

And with the weather being so nice, I thought this would be the perfect weekend for a relaxing family outing.

If you've never been before, they feature over 40 acres of grounds and botanical gardens with thousands of blooms.

And, something new this year, the Maple Ridge Garden!

This 500-foot-long  landscape follows the botanical gardens’ north ridge. A flagstone path curls through it, where on each side you’ll see aucuba, camellias, daphne, Florida anise, Japanese maples, Lenten roses, and many more plants.

R.W. Norton Art Gallery and Gardens: Located at 4747 Creswell Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71106-1899. Hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and weekends, 1 to 5 p.m. There is no admission charge.
