A member of the abortion lobby told a Senate Judiciary Committee that, in her opinion, it is acceptable to deny medical care to babies born alive following a "botched" abortion.

While being questioned by Louisiana Senator David Vitter, Dr. Diana Green-Foster,told the committee:

"I can imagine a situation where doctors and nurses have decided there's not a point in medical intervention, and by whisking the baby away, you've taken away a woman's chance to hold her child and say goodbye."
