The U.S. Department of Justice has sentenced two Acadiana men, and another awaits sentencing, for sexual exploitation crimes against minors.

Thirty-nine-year-old Kory Wilson, of Lafayette, pleaded guilty to sending obscene pictures to an undercover agent posing as a 10-year-old boy. Wilson is facing up to five years in prison for the offense. His sentencing date has been set for May 18.

U.S. District Judge Dee Drell sentenced 29-year-old Steven Lemoine, of Lafayette, to 14 years in prison for enticing a minor into sending images of child pornography online. Lemoine posed as a female on Facebook and lured a 12-year-old to send him images of child pornography..

Drell also sentenced an Abbeville man to 70 years in prison for the production and possession of child pornography. Thirty-three-year-old James Harber pleaded guilty in August to the heinous sexuak crimes against children. Harber was living in Ohio when he began communicating with an Abbeville mother. After establisihing a sexual relation ship with the woman, he moved to Abbeville where he took a job within the Department of Child and Family Services and eventually as a middle school teacher. The woman included her three minor children in the sexual online relationship. Harber sexually abused the children and recorded himself abusing them. Agents discovered the explicit images during a search of his home in April 2016.

"These types of horrific cases must not be allowed to continue," said U.S. Attorney Alexander Van Hook. "It is vital that the public and people in the community help to bring these cases to light as happened in this case. This 70-year sentence shows our resolve to prosecute and convict to the fullest extent of the law."
