Adam Levine is spreading his wings across the small screen. The Maroon 5 frontman has confirmed that he will take on a role in season two of FX’s ‘American Horror Story.’

Last month, it was reported that the 33-year-old was in negotiations with the Ryan Murphy show, and now the singer tells E! Online, “It is the truth. I mean, it’s pretty much happening. I think it’s happening. I don’t know how much I can divulge, because Ryan is very under wraps.”

As we previously reported, the ‘Voice’ coach is set to play a “contemporary character” and half of the couple “The Lovers.” Other than that, details of Levine’s story line are under lock and key.

“It’s going to be fun. And I told [Ryan] I really didn’t know what I was doing but he didn’t seem to really care,” admits the multi-talented star. “So I’m just going to go and try to [do] acting. I think I’m going to be kind of playing myself so hopefully it will be easy.”

The newly single entertainer has a busy schedule ahead. He’ll be releasing ‘Overexposed,’ his fourth studio album with Maroon 5, on June 26, and working on the launch of his first fragrance, set to debut in 2013.
