It's been a bizarre weather day in Shreveport-Bossier City.

As my daughter and I were headed to the Regal theater in the Louisiana Boardwalk, there were some clouds around, but it was hot, humid and mainly sunny. But when we got done with our movie, we noticed it had rained quite a bit. Then, we heard the thunder and saw the lightning, and made our way to the parking garage as quickly as possible.

It seems the weird storm system also knocked out power to a lot of the stores at the Boardwalk, too. After checking the SWEPCO website, I see there are more than 600 customers out in Bossier Parish, and more than 1,700 in Caddo. It doesn't help that we just got another big bunch of rain dumped on us in a very short period of time.

This is not good news for the folks getting ready to head out to the 7 p.m. Garth Brooks concert at CenturyLink Center. It looks like it's going to mostly clear out by the time the 10:30 p.m. show starts.
