People have come up with some unusual alarm clocks to help get started each morning. But this latest one is quite funny.

Maybe you've seen the alarm clock that lifts the bed up and you slide outta bed. There's another one that will pour water on your head. But this latest invention is creative and hilarious.

Simone Giertz, a YouTube robotics enthusiast who builds crazy contraptions has built this alarm clock that slaps you in the face:

How'd she make this gadget? She used a rubber arm from a Halloween store, a modified alarm clock, a motor, and an Arduino microcontroller. This alarm clock is called the “Wake-up Machine.”

It does pull out her hair a bit and she has to untangle herself most mornings.
