On Friday, May 15, all lanes of I-220 both Westbound and Eastbound in Caddo Parish will be closed to all traffic from LA 1/U.S. 71 (North Market Street) to I-20 (at the LA 3132 Interchange).

Department of Transportation and Development crews will begin installing temporary concrete barrier walls in the westbound lane on I-220 and new transmission lines across I-220. Officials say the work is necessary to continue with new construction of the I-49 North/I-220 Interchange.

The work is anticipated to last 2 days and 3 nights weather permitting. The lane/road closures will be in place 24 hours a day from 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 15 until 4:00 a.m. Monday, May 18.
