Allegiant Airline pilots are picketing in protest after two years of failed negotiations with the US domestic low cost carrier.

WTSP in Tampa, FL reports the pilots were out in full force at the nearby St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport Tuesday...saying they want better pay and benefits.

So how will this affect you? Allegiant flies out of Shreveport Regional Airport with hugely popular, low fare and non-stop flights to Las Vegas and Orlando.

We spoke with Shreveport Airport Authority spokesperson, Mark Crawford, about the possible affect to this area.

"At this time, the airport has not been alerted of any schedule changes. We are in regular contact with all of our airlines and any drastic changes in flight schedules will be posted on our website and on all of our social media outlets," said Crawford.
