The streets of downtown Longview will be taken over this weekend by artists, musicians, runners and more as they celebrate the arts with AlleyFest! This one-day festival is entering its 38th year and will kick off Saturday morning at 7 a.m. with AlleyRun, followed by the opening of the marketplace and KidsFest at 10 a.m. and MusicFest kicking off at 4 p.m.

AlleyRun kicks off AlleyFest with a 10k, 5k and 1-mile run at Heritage Plaza in downtown Longview Saturday morning early registration is available now or on race day.

Marketplace is one of the main attractions for AlleyFest thanks to the hundreds of artisans and craftsmen that come to downtown Longview to showcase their creations and talents.

It's not a festival without food either! There will be many food and beverage vendors on hand to satisfy any kind of appetite.

KidsFest features activities for kids of all ages (especially the little ones) including creating their own imagination driven creation, listening to stories and enjoying some music focused on them!

MusicFest is the other main attraction for AlleyFest and will feature music from local musicians Anchor Down. Then Bri Bagwell, from CMT's Next Superstar, takes over the stage before turning it over to Texas native Jack Ingram.

Tickets may be purchased at the gate for $5 each before 5 p.m. or $10 after 5 p.m. AlleyFest happens Saturday, May 16, in downtown Longview occupying Tyler St., Fredonia St. and Center St.
