Alligator Drags 2-Year-Old Boy Underwater At A Disney Resort In Florida

More tragic news out of Orlando, Florida.

According to ABC News, a 2-year-old Nebraska boy was dragged into Seven Seas Lagoon around 9 p.m. on Tuesday near Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

Sources say that the boy's father tried to rescue him from the alligator, but was unsuccessful. Search and rescue crews have been actively looking for the child, but have not found him.

"We are very hopeful and hoping for the best," Jeff Williamson of the Orange County Sheriff's Office said at a news conference Wednesday morning.

As a mom, I can't imagine this happening to my child. Thoughts and prayers go out to the little boy's family. Praying for a safe recovery.
