I love getting my hands dirty and getting some new plants in the ground in the spring. Now that our cold spell has rolled through, this could be a great weekend for planting.

The Northwest Louisiana Master Gardeners are having their annual plant sale this Saturday. You can find all kinds of perennials, shade plants, unique vines and fragrant herbs for sale. There will also be a Gardening Help Clinic hosted by Denyse Cummins, LSU AgCenter Horticulturist. It's going on from 8 a.m. - noon at the Randle T. Moore Center at Kings and Fairfield. Let me give you a little advice: the plants typically will sell out early in the day. You can get more gardening tips from the LSU Ag Center.
