Seems like this has become a normal theme around Shreveport. This morning a posting was made on the door of a local Shreveport restaurant saying they were closed permanently.

The note on the door of Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen in Shreveport read:

"As of September 26, 2016, this restaurant is closed Permanently.

We appreciate your support over the past six years, and hope you will have the opportunity to visit us again at one of our other Louisiana restaurant locations."

The location was on East 70th, in the Eastgate Shopping Center, where it had been for nearly a decade. Here is the statement we received from the organization:

“After six years in this location, we have made the difficult decision to close our Eastgate Shopping Center location because of declining sales. We have deeply appreciated the support of our loyal Shreveport guests over the years and as a token of gratitude, we are offering severance packages to our E 70th St. team members based on tenure.”  - Jason Daniel, Regional Vice President at Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen
