The only reason this song is so appropriate is that its title is an homage to the the day of voting.

When you go back in time, Duran Duran had some amazing music, but the lyrics either made no sense, or were so weird we just let our brains go into jello mode and let the videos take over. Of course back in that time, MTV actually played videos and Duran Duran rules the channel.

Then word came out that there was a hiatus of Duran Duran, one part was going the way of Powerstation and the other was going to Arcadia. While both were successful, Arcadia's only hit was this song was this song, "Election Day". Enjoy.
