Yesterday, tech giant Apple let the cat out of the bag.  Speculation about where the house that Steve Jobs built would put their next hob o' innovation has been running rampant for months, but the waiting is over.  The Cupertino, California based company announced that the new campus and around 5,000 new jobs would be going to Austin, Texas.

Apple is in the middle of a huge expansion.  The company has promised to bring a whopping $252 billion back in to the U.S. thanks to the massive tax overhaul.  CNN reports that this includes 20,000 new US jobs by the year 2023.

Austin didn't just luck out, either.  Behind closed doors, an intense bidding war was waging between Texas' capitol city and other possible locations across the country including Denver Colorado, and 2 North Carolina cities - Charlotte and Raleigh.  Apple is slated to receive $25 million and some pretty massive tax breaks from the county where the sprawling 133-acre new campus will be located.
