[UPDATE, Apr. 13, 2015]  Shreveport police say 18-year-old (age has been corrected) Antonious Cawthorne has turned himself in for the shooting death of 13-year-old Keandre Broadway.

Detectives had been seeking Cawthorne, along with 17-year-old Jerricka Deal, since the investigation launched last week. Deal, who had been reported as missing, was also located safe and unharmed. Cawthorne is charged with second degree murder.


[ORIGINAL STORY]  Shreveport Police Violent Crimes investigators are looking for a suspect named in the shooting death of a local teen Saturday evening.

Detectives say 19-year-old Antonious Cawthorne reportedly pulled a handgun and fired into a crowd gathered at Hattie Perry Park in the 2800 block of James Street. One young man, 13-year-old Keandre Broadway, was hit by gunfire. He was taken to University Health, where he later died from his wounds.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Cawthorne charging him with second degree murder. Bond is set at $750,000. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
