Police are searching for a man who tried to rob an east Shreveport bank this afternoon.

At around 3:45, patrol officers were called to the Chase Bank in the 300 block of E. 70th Street, where they learned a male entered the bank and demanded money from one of the tellers. He left before getting any cash. No one was hurt.

Investigators need help identifying the bandit. He's described as a white male, about 5'8" to 5'10" tall with a heavy build. He was wearing a gray shirt, blue jogging pants and a tan ball cap. He has gray hair and is believed to be in his late 40's to early 60's. He left the bank in what appeared to be a black Suzuki vehicle with Texas license plates.

Anyone with information is asked to call Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
