Watch an Early Test for ‘Roger Rabbit’ With Pee-Wee Herman’s Voice

‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit?’ hit theaters in 1988 and was groundbreaking in the way it seamlessly blended modern animation with live-action (though to be fair, this was not the first time this was achieved). It was, at the time, the most expensive animated film ever made and spent many years in development perfecting the technology. ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ Clips: The Evil Queen and Trolls Attack

Snow White and the Huntsman‘ has a lot going against it. It’s the second ‘Snow White’ movie to come in just a few months (‘Mirror, Mirror’ hit theaters in late March), it’s attempting to put a modern, action-movie spin on the classic fairy tale, and it stars Kristen Stewart, an actress frequently criticized for her wooden line readings.

Yet despite all this, we can’t help but think ‘Snow White’ looks pretty damn good.

Tim Burton’s ‘Frankenweenie’ Trailer Rises From The Grave

In 1984, a young Disney animator named Tim Burton directed his live-action debut, the short film ‘Frankenweenie.’ Disney planned for the short to run before a theatrical re-release of ‘Pinocchio,’ but once they screened the completed project, they fired Burton on the spot.

Burton, of course, went on to a somewhat legendary career as a filmmaker and in 2010 made Disney over $1 billion on ‘Alice in Wonderland.’ And now, in 2012, Disney is finally OK with the idea of a little boy who brings his dead dog back to life.
