Robert J Wright

I was born near here, actually, in the little east Texas town of Palestine. My Dad was in sales, so before moving to Shreveport when I was in high school (Jesuit HS) we lived in cities all over the South, sort of a preparation for my broadcasting career. I got into radio after a couple years of college, I've lived in 15 different places and have been fired nine times - including twice in one day from two different stations. I finally wised up and came back here in '96, teaming up with morning show partner Erin (McCarty) on the old Big Dog 94.5, moved one door down the hall to 96.5 KVKI in 2003, and now, the best job ever, mornings on 710 KEEL !

Erin’s Son Heads Back To the Marines, But First, One More Bit of Fun with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders

It was a great 10-day liberty from the Marines for Erin' son, JW. First he and two other boot camp grads were applauded by passengers as they boarded their plane home. Then, an anonymous patron picked up his dinner tab at Ernest's. And finally, the photo above.

You’re Driving Down the Road With A Snake On Your Car (Video)

Erin McCarty has three big fears: Mice, sharks and snakes. Once she thought there was a mouse in the studio so she did the entire show with her feet propped up on the desk. When she goes to the beach she stops in the water at knee depth for fear of shark attack. So I can only imagine what she'd do if what happens to this family happened to her.
