Barbara Norton’s Criticism of Declaration of Independence Goes National [VIDEO]

Rep. Barbara Norton of Shreveport's criticism of a proposed bill that would mandate that Louisiana school kids learn the Declaration of Independence quickly made national news.

In challenging the proposal Norton said that because of America's racist past, it is unfair to make black students in out state learn the document.

Condemnation came quickly and from many quarters, including - and perhaps, not surprisingly - Fox News.
