"Which stroller should we buy?"
"How should we decorate the baby nursery?"
Seeing your child take their first steps.
The feeling you get when you hear your child say "mama" for the first time.

These are common questions and beautiful milestones that parents look forward to when welcoming a new child into the family. However, for many couples these moments are a dream. A dream that they wish will come true one day because they are battling with the personal and often private pain of infertility. In the days of social media, when personal lives are splashed on the internet for all to see, the battle can become extremely painful. Each video of a gender reveal party and each picture of a sonogram are all painful reminders of the struggle.

Enter Sarah's Laughter. Sarah's Laughter is a non-profit public charity that is committed to providing support to people who are struggling with the pain of infertility. For those experiencing that pain, Sarah's Laughter wants you to know that you are not alone. They have opened registration for the Baby Steps Shreveport-Bossier Infertility Awareness Walk & Fun Run. The walk and fun run is scheduled for Saturday, April 21st at the CenturyLink Center in Bossier City.

The cost of infertility is high emotionally and financially. That is why in addition to providing emotional support to families, Sarah's Laughter provides financial support.  They along with their sponsors have given away thousands of dollars in free fertility treatments. That generosity will continue. During the walk & fun run on April 21st someone will receive a FREE IVF treatment courtesy of ArklaTex Fertility and Reproductive Medicine.  Another person will receive a $10,000 family building grant. The grant can be used towards an infertility treatment or adoption. This is truly a gift that helps to ease a heavy burden and provide relief.
