BCS Title Game Is a Sham If SEC Team Is not Playing

We all know Alabama lost and that bumps the Tide out of title contention. So what now?

Here's the BCS standings for the week:

No. 1 Kansas State 10-0
No. 2 Oregon 10-0
No. 3 Notre Dame 10-0
No. 4 Alabama 9-1
No. 5 Georgia  9-1
No. 6 Florida 9-1
No. 7 LSU 8-2
No. 8 Texas A&M 8-2
No. 9 South Carolina 8-2
No. 10 Florida State 9-1

Look at this list. SEC teams are numbers 4-9. How can you possibly think one of them is not the best team in the country. All of these teams play each other and the chance of getting through the conference unbeaten is one of the most difficult tasks in all of sports. All of the national sportscasters are now itching for a Notre Dame Championship game, but that won't happen unless Kansas State or Oregon loses a game. You can not tell me that Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Texas A&M or even LSU could not beat one of these teams. I don't even think I would watch a BCS Championship game that does not include an SEC team.
