Every year, it seems like stores start putting the Christmas items on the shelves earlier and earlier.

And now, it looks like they are moving the annual Black Friday shopping frenzy up too.

In the 80's, stores would make it a point to open up early... Like 6am.

In the 90's, they started opening at 4 or 5am.

And this year, more stores are saying that they will throw their doors open at midnight!

According to a recent story in The Wall Street Journal, Best Buy, Target, Macy's, and Kohl's will all be opening at midnight this year. Black midnight?

According to Best Buy Chief Executive Brian Dunn, the decision to open stores at midnight wasn't an easy one. "I feel terrible. It will change some Thanksgiving plans for our employees."

So I guess that means that, after stuffing ourselves with Turkey, they expect us to then line up outside the stores?

I'll be too tired from the tryptophan to fight over cheap TV's!
