Blanchard Town HallGrab your lawn chairs and prepare to head north, Shreveporters. The third annual Blanchard Music Festival is being held on Saturday, October 20.

The festival raises money for a local charitable cause. This year, the money raised will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure -- specifically, a local Blanchard woman who is suffering from breast cancer.

The Blanchard community always steps up to help in their own way. They come for the great live music, food and beverages, but also participate in the auctions and raffles. In the past, many generous businesses have donated items to be auctioned off to help raise money.

The fundraiser will be held in the Poke Salad Pavilion in Blanchard City Park. There will be plenty of food and beverages and great music from noon until 10:00 p.m., featuring The Monday Night Pickers, The Country Cyclones, Landry and Company, Gary Miles and the Smoke City Band, Magnolia Brown and Swamp Hazard.
