In this case, ignorance really was bliss. Whitney Houston‘s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown was completely oblivious to the drama surrounding her father, Bobby Brown, at Houston’s funeral.Brown unceremoniously left the ceremony early when his family wasn’t allowed to sit with him during the services. “My children and I were invited to the funeral of my ex-wife Whitney Houston. We were seated by security and then subsequently asked to move on three separate occasions,” Brown said in a statement. “I fail to understand why security treated my family this way and continue to ask us and no one else to move. Security then prevented me from attempting to see my daughter Bobbi Kristina.”

Sources told Radar Online that Bobbi Kristina was sitting in the front pew of the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, N.J. with grandmother Cissy Houston. Both Cissy and Bobbi Kristina were unaware of the small ruckus going on two rows behind them. Us Weekly reports that Cissy and Bobbi Kristina supported one another during the memorial, “dabbing their eyes with tissues.”

The news was confirmed by Rev. Jesse Jackson, who, while not explicitly defending Brown, admitted that Brown’s seating “could have been handled better.”
