Approximately 6:40 am this morning, a local duck hunter on Lake Bistineau discovered a female clinging to a cypress tree screaming for help.

This woman then relayed the story to Bossier Parish Sherriff’s Office that she and her boyfriend had gone fishing on Lake Bistineau about 11:00 pm Monday and that the boat had tipped over approximately an hour after they arrived.

It was at this point that the Bossier Sheriff's Department along with Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries, South Bossier Fire District 2, Bienville Fire Departments 4 and 5 all began to search for the male victim who's body was discovered at 9:20 am today (Tuesday)

According to an article from BossierPress.com,

Family members told deputies the couple had consumed alcohol before venturing out onto the lake, White said. The female was treated for hypothermia at an area hospital. At this time foul play is not suspected and the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is handling the incident as a boating accident.

As we get more info, we'll be sure to update the story.
