In a case of life imitating art, a band of burglars that has been operating in Bossier Parish has been broken up.  According to a report from KTBS-TV, the crimes were a case of life imitating art.  Seems that the culprits were committing the crimes did so as part of an initiation into a gang, a la "Sons Of Anarchy".

The group dubbed themselves "Killer Kustoms" and is believed to have perpetrated at least six acts of pilferage in January and February in the neighborhoods of Forrest Hills, Merrywoods, Princeton and Winfield and took everything from weapons to wallets.  They range in age from 17 to 25.

Much of the merchandise has already been recovered and the Bossier Sheriff's office says it knows who purchased the other property, and if the individuals who bought it return it promptly they can avoid charges.

All of the property in question was stolen from unlocked vehicles.  Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington encourages residents to lock their vehicles and remove valuable items out of plain site in the vehicle.
