Bossier City Marine Sign Stays

Marine SignBack in July, you may remember that the ‘Gardens Of Southgate’ home owners association in Bossier City wanted a sign removed supporting a deployed Marine.

When LCpl. Corey Burr was sent to Afghanistan, his family put the sign up in their front yard.

At the time, the association kept repeating that signs were banned, brought down home values, and various other talking points.

But Timothy and Jodi Burr stood their ground and refused to take the sign down.

That prompted the association to sue.

But, now there is some good news… The sign can stay!

The family and the association reached a settlement which allows the family to keep the sign of support up until April 2012… That’s about a month after LCpl. Corey Burr is scheduled to return home.
