Money Magazine, published by Time, Inc., named Bossier City as one of the top 15 "Best Places To Find A New Job."

Bossier City was named #7 on the list when looking at small cities that offer great opportunity. Cities were chosen by considering places with lower-than-average unemployment and positive past job and population growth. Then, the cities were ranked by projected job growth.

According to the article, Bossier City's job growth since 2010 is 10 percent and the projected job growth through 2018 is 11.9 percent.

Bossier City is located in the northwest corner of Louisiana, across the Red River from sister-city Shreveport. The city is a modern-day Southern river town, complete with four riverboat casinos, outlet shopping, and a 14-screen movie theatre. Bossier City is a great spot for regional foodies, with plenty of unique Cajun-style cuisine and Southern barbecue to be had. The big industries here are tourism and recreational gaming, though there are also many military jobs in the area.
