The Bossier Parish School Board has voted to close all Bossier schools and centers on Election Day, Tuesday, November 4, 2014.

This is being done to "ensure student safety, maintain a secure environment and not disrupt the election process." Thirty-one of Bossier Schools' campuses serve as polling precincts.

The board also decided to close all schools and centers in future years whenever an election falls on a school day.

Caddo Schools already planned to close that day, and it's listed on the district's school calendar.
