The Bossier Sheriff's Office set out to spread a little Christmas cheer this week.

This year hasn't been easy on us and some people right here in Shreveport-Bossier City really struggled. This has made Christmas almost impossible for many. In the spirit of the holidays, the Bossier Sheriff's Office set out on a mission from Santa Claus himself.

Armed with cash.

The task force went out into the community with $3,000 and stopped unsuspecting motorists to give them a piece of paper. No, not a ticket, but $100 to be given freely to those they felt needed it most. Many couldn't contain their joy, while others couldn't hold back their tears.

We hope this video brings you a little reminder of what's important this Christmas... people.
