If you're a fan of the Bravo Network's "reality" show Southern Charm then we've got some very good news for you. The network has announced plans to spin off another version of the show. This time instead of being based in Charleston, South Carolina the cast of characters will come from Louisiana, New Orleans in particular.

According to network sources, the show will stay fairly true to the format of the original show's premise. That premise is to showcase high society in a low life form of trailer trash living. Hey, just because you have money doesn't mean you have class right?

I heard one reporter describe the show as Jersey Shore with fewer tattoos and fewer sexually transmitted diseases. But since this is New Orleans those STD numbers might be pretty close to the 'Jersey Shore kind of infections.

Here is how the Bravo Network's press department describes "Southern Charm New Orleans".

Hidden away from the beads and beats of Bourbon Street is an exclusive community filled with wealth, legacy and tradition. Although the prestige in this town is plentiful, everything that glitters isn't gold, and underneath brews a multitude of shocking secrets that could destroy the foundation of long-standing friendships. In a city where lineage and status are everything, how far will this ambitious group go to redefine their legacy and secure their spot at the top of this esteemed circle?

If you thought our politicians brought shame upon our state, just wait until the world sees what the Bravo Network is going to do to us.

Maybe we could combine this show with Swamp People. I bet after 15 minutes our buddy Troy Landry would be hollering "Choot 'em" in the direction of the Southern Charm cast instead of alligators.
