[UPDATE]  A busy morning for Bossier City police and sheriff's deputies, as a man armed with a knife threatened to commit suicide by driving his truck into the Red River.

Bossier sheriff's dive team units were on stand-by in case the man followed through with his threat.

Police spokesman Mark Natale tells KEEL News the man also told police he was armed with a gun, but officers later found out that wasn't the case.

Police were able to take the man into custody. No name has been released.


[ORIGINAL STORY]  About 20 Bossier Sheriff's Office units are out at Arthur Ray Teague boat launch. We're told they were readying dive teams.
