Football fans are in for a real 'Treasure' this Super Bowl season! Bruno Mars is slated to headline the 2014 Super Bowl halftime show.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that an official announcement will come tomorrow (Sept. 8). Fox, who will broadcast the game, and Pepsi, who will sponsor the event, wouldn't comment. An NFL rep simply joked that neither Janet Jackson nor Miley Cyrus is in the running. We wonder why?

Super Bowl XLVIII will go down on Feb. 2 at MetLife Stadium in Rutherford, N.J.

It will mark Mars' first time performing for the Super Bowl, but not his first time dazzling enormous audiences. The 'When I Was Your Man' singer and his Smeezingtons have stolen every awards show graced with their presence. And unlike many of his predecessors, Mars won't need to rely on fancy choreography or pyrotechnics to put on a good show -- he doesn't need to!

Congrats, Bruno!
