If you've ever wanted to pair your Whopper with a side of Popeyes seasoned fries, your dreams may soon become a reality.

Well, I don't know if the two restaurants will necessarily merge menus but word on street is that the Canadian fast food company that owns Burger King is interested in possibly acquiring Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen.

UPDATE: According to The Advocate, Restaurant Brands International says it is buying Popeye's for $1.8 billion.

A Reuters report says that Restaurant Brands International has looked into purchasing a few different companies lately, and if Popeyes is one of those companies it could mean "more international locations" for the fried chicken chain.

Popeyes began in a small New Orleans suburb in 1972. Since then the fried chicken chain has opened franchises in 30 countries around the world and is currently headquartered in Atlanta.

The companies reportedly have not agreed on a price, but could you imagine the two restaurants combining? Based on your experiences at both Burger King and Popeyes would this be a good, or a bad thing?
