Burn Bans Enacted in Northwest Louisiana

UPDATE:  Bossier Parish is also under a burn ban.

Several northwest Louisiana parishes are added to the growing list of areas enacting burn bans because of the extreme heat and lack of rainfall.

The Fire Chiefs of Caddo Parish have issued a burn ban effective immediately for Caddo. According to a news release, the action "has become necessary given the high heat we have been experiencing, as well as the current dry conditions."

The ban will remain in effect until we get some significant rain. There will be no outdoor burning without written permission from the fire chief in your respective jurisdiction.
