Yo Adrian! Let’s Buy the ‘Rocky’ House In Philly

Why continue to live in that crappy apartment when you can buy the South Philadelphia home Rocky and Adrian moved into in “Rocky II?”

Seriously, the house where scenes from the first sequel to ‘Rocky’ were filmed is on the market for a reasonable $139,000. Rocky bought the house (and a sweet Trans-Am and a huge dog) after his first fight with Apollo Creed. You can see Rocky jump the railing of the front steps of the house at the beginning of his running scene in ‘Rocky II’ below:

Neat, huh? Producers of the film contacted the owners of the house in the late 1970s when they were looking for a suitable place that Sylvester Stallone’s fictional boxer might buy with the prize money from his title fight. The home was put back up for sale after the woman who most recently lived there passed away.

The three-bedroom, two-bath house at 2313 South Lambert Street has 1,036 square feet. It’s close to a local park and just two miles from the Philadelphia sports complex that is home to Citizens Bank Park, Lincoln Financial Field and the Wells Fargo Center. You’re likely to get a few Rocky fans stopping by to see the place on occasion, but you probably wouldn’t consider buying the home if you weren’t a fan too. Just think about the morning jogs.
