The Caddo Sheriff's Office has scheduled a barbecue fundraiser to support two deputies whose home burned recently.

The house belonging to Deputy Rickey Evans and his wife, Detective Yomeka Evans, originated in the kitchen. It was confined to that room, but the rest of the house was heavily damaged by water and smoke.

Deputies are serving up chicken leg quarters, green beans, corn, bread and cake for $6 a plate. The barbecue is being held at Caddo Correctional Center on Forum Drive in Shreveport from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, November 7.

Delivery is available for orders of 10 or more plates, and pre-orders are encouraged. For more information, call Captain Demetria Parker at 423-5200.
