Caddo Shreveport Narcotics Unit Fights To Control Synthetic Marijuana [AUDIO]

Caddo Shreveport Narcotics Unit Lt. Carl Townley joined us on KVKI this morning to talk about his years of working to keep drugs off the streets.

He tells us the Parish is working to tighten the laws to keep synthetic marijuana out of our community. Townley says "fake weed" producers use a certain combination of substances, but when that is outlawed, they will make a small change to the recipe so it will be legal. He says that loophole needs to be closed. The Commission will consider the change during this week's meeting. We also asking him to give us his thoughts about legalizing marijuana:
