‘Cajun John Wayne’ Told To Tone It Down

Captain Clay Higgins of the St. Landry Sheriff's Office is coming under more fire for some of the terminology he uses to describe the some of the suspects he is currently hunting for. Dubbed the "Cajun John Wayne" Higgins has referred to members of the Gremlins street gang as "animals" and warned he will use "maximum force" in dealing with them in a Crimestoppers video that has gone viral. Both the ACLU and National Action Now have publicly condemned Higgins for language they deem racist and inflammatory. St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz stands by his deputy saying that he is proud of him however there are some things "..I'm going to guide him into not saying."
