In an effort to support a mission to find a cure for diabetes, Airline High School Senior, Cesalie Michelle Calhoun, putting on a crawfish boil and donating the money to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) through Shreveport Diabetes Sports, Inc.

Cesalie says:

Hello, my name is Cesalie Michelle Calhoun and I am a type one diabetic. Type 1 diabetes is a disease that I was born with, not because I have eaten too much sugar. I have to take an insulin shot and check my blood sugar every time before I eat because my pancreas does not produce insulin. For my Airline High School Senior Project I am putting on a crawfish boil and donating the money to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) through Shreveport Diabetes Sports, Inc. . I would like to invite family, friends, and locals to help me raise money to support JDRF, a non-profit organization, to one day find a cure for diabetes. There will be tickets and raffle tickets for sale. If you purchase a $45 ticket you will receive all-you-can-eat crawfish, open bar, a t-shirt, and if crawfish is not your style, there will be tacos available from a taco truck. For people under the age of 21 or non-drinkers a $30 ticket will be for sale. Raffle tickets will be sold for $5 and prizes from local businesses will be given every 30 minutes. If you can not make it to the event donations are greatly appreciated.

If you haven't had a chance to get on board, no fear-the RSVP deadline is not yet here! The deadline is March 14th! For online payment, click here.
