‘Canadian Psycho’ Murder Suspect Luka Magnotta Arrested in Germany
Luka Rocco Magnotta, dubbed the “Canadian Psycho” after he mailed body parts of a dismembered murder victim to Ottawa law enforcement and politicians, has been arrested in Germany.
The 29-year-old adult film actor has been wanted since last week in connection with the killing of Chinese student Jud Lin, who was last seen on May 24. Authorities say Magnotta filmed the murder and posted it on the internet in the days before Lin’s body parts starting showing up in the mailboxes of people including Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
Magnotta was found in Germany after someone spotted him in a Berlin internet cafe and called the police. He was taken into custody, and Canadian officials are en route.
The alleged killer’s website has a long treatise on “media propaganda,” in which he says, “There [are] always TWO sides to every story. Don’t forget that.”
