Natural Gas Leaking Off Ellerbe Road In Far Southeast Shreveport

The Caddo Sheriff’s Office is currently working  a gas line rupture on Ellerbe Road. Deputies say a pick-up truck was southbound on Ellerbe when the driver swerved to miss a dog. The driver lost control and hit an above-ground natural gas pipeline, rupturing the line.

Cease & Desist Order Issued On Outdoor Burning In Some Louisiana Parishes, But Not All

Due to the extremely dry conditions in certain Parishes within the state, State Fire Marshal, H. Butch Browning and, Agriculture and Forestry Commissioner, Mike Strain have issued a cease and desist order for all private burning, pursuant to authority under R.S. 40:1563.  Private burning shall only be allowed by permission of the local fire department or local government.

State, local and federal agencies continue to respond to a fish kill in the Pearl River that originated near Bogalusa in Washington Parish. This fish kill was reported on Saturday and the slug of black water believed to have caused or contributed to the fish kills has moved south through St. Tammany Parish.
