September 11, 2012 I found a very intriguing story about a woman who claimed to be a 9/11 survivor. The story is quite amazing. Her name is Tania Head and a documentary called "The Woman Who Wasn’t There: The True Story of an Incredible Deception" describes her story. In it, she claims to have narrowly escaped death in the south tower of the World Trade Center. Trouble is, that never happened.

Alicia Guastaferro is notorious for being one of the least likable reality TV stars of all time (which is saying something considering the competition). In a 2008 appearance on ‘Wife Swap’ she was spoiled by her parents who leave their Christmas tree up all year and shower her daily with gifts (during the show she received a Chevy Tahoe as one present). Later, the local beauty queen would tell the cameras, “I do feel sorry for people that are not gorgeous people.”
If you’re up for a little schadenfreude, Guastaferro was arrested this week and charged with prostitution, possession of a controlled dangerous substance (i.e., drugs) and criminal impersonation.
Joe Diffie’s day got off to a bit of a rough start on Friday (Aug. 31), when a fire broke out on his bus as it cruised down the road early in the morning. The fire apparently started around 3:15AM, but thankfully, Diffie and his crew were able to quickly diffuse the situation.

The first person to set foot on the Earth’s moon, Neil Armstrong passed away today (Aug. 25) due to complications resulting from cardiovascular procedures. He was 82.
Remember Karen Klein, the upstate New York bus monitor who was viciously harassed by her middle school charges in a video that went viral in June? Her story had a happy ending, as an internet fundraising campaign to send the 68-year-old on a “nice vacation” raised over $700,000 from 32,000 people around the world.
That’s more than enough money for Klein to retire from the yellow school bus grind. And she plans to. But she is also using a good chunk of the cash — $100,000 — to set up the Karen Klein Anti-Bullying Foundation.

This morning my listeners on 96.5 KVKI / 965kvki.com chimed in with their own comments on the story - and photos - of England's Prince Harry's evening of "strip billiards" in a Las Vegas hotel suite. Then I asked them, in the grandest Gene Rayburn/Charles Nelson Reilly/Match Game tradition, to complete this sentence: "I once played strip (blank)!'
There's a lot of speculation on who will win the presidential election in November 2012. This cockroach derby has an 84% rate of accuracy when running political races and its Romney Roach who wins this race.
Even with temperatures soaring it is still surprising that just last week eight children were left alone to die in hot cars.
Just ten days ago Michael P. Ward was named commander of the U.S.S. Pittsburgh. A dream come true for the 43-year-old Naval officer. He has since been relieved of duty after his extra marital affair with a 23-year-old woman was made public. The same woman which he allegedly impregnated and faked his own death to end their relationship.
Officials say a white supremacist who went on a shooting rampage inside a Sikh temple before being killed by law enforcement was an Army veteran who likely mistook the Sikhs for Muslims.
