Celebrate Mardi Gras Tonight with the Krewe of Akewa [AUDIO]

The Krewe of Akewa is holding their Grand Bal this evening at the Centaur Den and it's theme is 'Cajun Fairytales.' Captain Penny Zimmerman told us there would be lots of fun twists to your favorite children's stories and plenty of Cajun cousine.

The Krewe of Akewa distinguishes itself in many ways, but most obviously, as all female krewe. They originated in Minden and now their membership is split between Minden and the Shreveport area. The krewe has it's own float and parades in Springhill, Minden, with the Krewe of Highland and is even thinking of joining the fun in Natchitoches this year! Listen to what Captain Penny had to say!
