In just their second year in the NAHL, the Mudbugs are Robertson Cup Champions. The Bugs were able to beat Minot 2-1 in the winner take all, final showdown Monday night in Minnesota.  It's been one HECK of a season. The Mudbugs fought through injuries, set backs, tough losses and long road trips on their way to hoisting the Robby Cup Monday night in Minnesota.

To celebrate all that hard work and sacrifice, the Bugs will be throwing a little party Wednesday evening at George's Pond at Hirsch Coliseum. The team will not only be celebrating their championship season and amazing fans, but will be saying goodbye to fan favorites, like Captain Dom Procopio, who are set to move on to the next chapter of their playing careers.

There will be food, drinks, music and a game-worn jersey auction. The event is free to the public. Come celebrate a fantastic season with a little 'Flair' at the Pond Wednesday 5-7pm. More details on the event are available on the Mudbugs Facebook page.

And, if you think you have what it takes to be a Shreveport Mudbug, there will a Mudbugs mini camp/try out in July for hockey players between the ages of 16 and 21. More details available on the Mudbugs website.
